Obituary of George D. Ogden

George D. Ogden of Newtown, PA died on Tuesday January 9, 2018 at his home. He was 67. Born in Bethesda, MD, a son of the late Wesley Ingram Ogden and Marilyn Eaton Ogden, and formerly of Belle Mead, NJ, he resided in Newtown for the past five years. George worked in telecommunications as a Senior Systems Engineer/Project Executive for Bell Laboratories-Telcordia until his retirement. He was a graduate of East Carolina University and attained his Masters from Old Dominion University and his Ph.D. from University of Maryland. George is survived by his wife, Cindy Dupont Ogden; his son, Dylan J. Ogden of Manasquan, NJ ; his daughter, Rylee J. Ogden, and close family friend Heidi Shackleford, of Newtown; his brother, Jeffrey Ogden, of Bridgewater, NJ, and his sister, Susan Ogden, of Takoma Park, MD. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday January 20th at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA, where friends may call from 10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a Hospice of donor's choice.
