Marie Duffy of Lower Makefield Township, PA passed away on Friday April 13, 2018 at Jefferson Health Hospice in Warminster, PA. She was 89. Born in Harwood, PA, daughter of the late Moses and Mary Onufer VanBlargan, she moved to Levittown in 1952 and resided in Yardley-Makefield for the past 48 years. Marie was a graduate of Hazle Township High School. Marie enjoyed her home, especially gardening (a true green thumb), sewing, and was a devoted animal lover. She belonged to the Morrisville Senior Center. Wife of the late Thomas W. Duffy, she is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Eugene C. Brown of Penndel, PA, Terrance E. Brown of Belcamp, MD, and Thomas W. and Deborah Duffy, Jr. of Yardley, PA; her brother, Edward VanBlargan of Hazelton, PA, five grandchildren, Shawn Brown, Jamie Lee Cohen, Ryan Brown, Elyse Stevens, and Annalyn Duffy, and three great grandchildren, Dominic and Luca Brown, and Autumn Cohen. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday April 18 at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA. Friends may call from 9am to 10:15am Wednesday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA.
