William E. Rupprecht Obituary

William E. Rupprecht

October 4, 1941 - January 25, 2026

William Edward Rupprecht, age 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in Great Falls, Montana. Known to family and friends as Bill, he was a 70 year resident of Morrisville, PA, before moving to Great Falls in September of 2021, to live with his nephew, Robert, and wife, Angie, who both cared for him during his battle with dementia. Bill lived and built a life grounded in faith, service, and quiet generosity.

Bill was a graduate of Trenton Junior College and devoted nearly four decades of his professional life to the U.S. Naval Air Turbine Test Station in Trenton, New Jersey, where he worked as a program engineer. He also proudly served his country as a member of the New Jersey Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970.

Bill was a faithful communicant and active member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church before moving to Great Falls and lived his faith through service to others. He selflessly served as a caretaker for numerous family members, offering unwavering support and compassion. He was deeply generous, always giving of himself to his family and to charitable causes close to his heart.

Bill had a lifelong love for animals, starting with his beloved cats. He took great joy in caring for them. He had a pack of dogs who cherished him while in Great Falls: Piper, Finn, Harley, Winston, and Midnight. Harley, Winston, and Midnight, especially, claimed Bill as their person. Bill also had a fond appreciation for classic automobiles and was known for never having purchased a brand-new car, preferring the character and history of older models.

He is survived by his brother, John (Sandy); seven nieces - Tami, Jennifer, Heather, Lisa, Kristen, Katherine, and Kerry; four nephews - Gerard, Robert, Michael, and Ryan; many grandnieces and grandnephews; and one great-grandnephew, all of whom will cherish his memory. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anne Rupprecht, and by his sister, Joanne Snyder, all of Morrisville, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067. Visitation will begin at 10:30a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery on River Road in Yardley, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church or to the SPCA, in honor of Bill's enduring love for animals.

Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com or www.oconnorfuneralhome.com who handled Bill's funeral services in Great Falls, MT.
