Jean (née Rupp) Larason, 84, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 9, 1942, in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Eleanor (née Devaney) Rupp. Her family moved to Philadelphia, and later to Willow Grove, PA where she graduated at the top of her class from Cardinal Dougherty High School and subsequently married the love of her life, the late John (Jack) Larason.
Jean was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Jack, mother to her son, John, and daughters, Kim, Penny, and Tracey; a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a loving sister to Carol and Betty, aunt, and friend to countless others.
We celebrate the beautiful life of a woman who never went anywhere without her red lipstick and never left a room without making it brighter. If you tried to leave the house without lipstick, she would surely ask, "Where are you going without your lipstick?"
She adored animals of every kind, offering gentle hands and a soft voice to each furry and feathered friend she met. Children were naturally drawn to her warmth, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the absolute joy of her life.
Jean loved travel and adventure, always ready to explore somewhere new with her husband Jack. Whether near or far, she embraced the world with curiosity and gratitude. At day's end, she could often be found relaxing with a glass of red wine, sharing stories and laughter surrounded by family, friends and pets.
Her home was a place of comfort, conversation, and unlocked doors, always welcoming friends, family, and pets alike. She taught us to live fully, to show kindness to every creature, to treasure children, to embrace adventure, and to remember that red lipstick is never optional.
Though we will miss her deeply, we will think of her whenever we see a bold red lipstick, raise a glass of red wine, hug a child tightly, or set out on a new adventure.
Her love remains with us always. Though she is no longer in our sight, she will forever live in our hearts — and we will never, ever forget our lipstick.
Funeral Services are being held privately for the family.
Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com
