Helene Waslenko (née Albosta), 95, of Washington Crossing, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Born on May 22, 1930, in Moosic, PA, Helene was the daughter of Bernard and Irene Albosta. She was the beloved wife of the late John Waslenko for 45 years, before his death in 1995. The couple moved to Fairless Hills in 1952 and built their home in Washington Crossing in 1978, where Helene lived for many happy years.

In 1967, Helene and John founded Thornridge (Ace) Hardware Supply in Levittown, PA. Helene was an integral part of the family business for more than five decades; the business thrives today under the ownership of their eldest son, John.

An avid golfer, Helene was a longtime member of the Oxford Valley Ladies Golf League and enjoyed the game well into her 80's. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful member of St. Francis Cabrini Church in Fairless Hills and St. Ignatius Church in Yardley; her faith was an integral part of her daily life.

Helene is survived by her children: John Waslenko (Michell) of Yardley, PA; Jerry Waslenko of Myrtle Beach, SC; Chris Waslenko (Donna) of Newtown, PA; Ronald Waslenko of Washington Crossing, PA; Cathy Anderson (Robert) of Levittown, PA; and Susan Olszewski of St. Petersburg, FL. She also leaves 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Devoted to her family, Helene provided loving care to her parents until their passing. Her strength, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11:00am at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church 999 Reading Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067, and again on Tuesday morning from 10:00am to 10:45am at the church. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, River Road, Yardley, PA immediately following the mass.
