Dorothy L. Hogarty, 99, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime Trenton resident before moving to Hamilton Township in 1997.  In her earlier years she was employed at Westinghouse and also Lerner Dress Shop, both in Trenton.  Dorothy took great pride in her housekeeping skills and decorating her home for every occasion.

Daughter of the late William and Christina (Byrne) Thompson, wife of the late Joseph J. Hogarty, to whom she was married for 57 years, and sister of the late Alice Murl, Christine Fazio, Rachel Watson, and William Thompson.

Dorothy is survived by her loving sisters Joan Thompson of Ewing, NJ, and Barbara Calisti (Peter) of Hamilton, NJ, her niece and caretaker Brenda Duggan of Ewing, NJ, and a host of other loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 12:00pm at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067.  Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery 1200 Cedar Lane Hamilton, NJ 08610.  Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home.
