Cecelia Dolan Obituary
Cecelia Ann Pinto Dolan, was peacefully called home to God before dawn's early light, on Ascension Thursday May 14, 2026, at the age of 97.
Born on September 21, 1928, in Plymouth, Mass to Antonio Fererra Pinto and Maria Gomes DaSilva from Portugal.
She joins her beloved husband & partner of almost 60 years, Francis John Xavier Dolan. She also joins her parents, brothers, and sisters – Eva, Clara, Antonio, Anna, Cecelia, Maria, and Joeseph, and their respective spouses, as well as her grandson, Sean James Dolan.
Cecelia is survived by her sister, Amelia (Violet) Berry of Kingston, her son, Charles (Chuck) Dolan, daughter in-law Pamela Dolan, and grandchildren Angela and Lucas Dolan, whom she loved very much. She also had a significant number of nieces & nephews, and great nieces & nephews, some who welcomed her after she passed.
Celia was ahead of her time, lived an extraordinary life, and touched countless people in so many ways with things she'd done. She had "the gift of gab", incredible business savy, a skilled negotiator, and was a good storyteller with countless stories to tell.
Ever since she was a little girl, she had a dream – to see & travel the world and she certainly accomplished that. She begged her father to allow her to put up a map on her bedroom wall, which she would continually change when she got others. That's what sparked her life-long passion to become not just a travel agent, but a travel specialist that spanned over 50 years, primarily in Wayland, Mass. She helped thousands of people fulfill their dreams to travel all over the world, she even brought tour groups to special religious spots including Fatima, Portugal, the Vatican (she repeatedly met & got Communion from Saint Pope John Paul II), and Medjugorje, Yugoslavia.
Sadly the list of all of the trips she went on somehow got lost along the way, so it's hard to truly know how many billions of miles that Cecelia spent on land, in the air, & on the water (over 300 Cruises alone)!
