It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joan Grace Riegel (87) on the evening of June 20th, 2026. Joan was a devoted wife, a selfless mother, a doting grandmother, and the cherished twin sister of Jean Luartes. Both passed after courageous battles with cancer.

Born with a heart that knew no bounds, Joan's life was defined by her unwavering generosity. She possessed a rare, gentle spirit, always putting the needs of others before her own. Whether she was offering a listening ear or a helping hand, her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone she encountered. Joan was co-owner of Riegel Printing, a prominent figure of the Bordentown Yacht Club, a member of the Great Oak Yacht Club,

Bordentown Elks, Delaware Valley Doll Club, and Young at Heart Doll Club. She had a keen eye for bargains and a true passion for shopping, often finding the perfect gift to brighten someone's day. A lifelong collector, she held a special place in her heart for her extensive doll collection, each piece representing a cherished memory of her journey through life.

Her legacy of love lives on through her husband Kenneth of 65 years, her son Ronald Riegel, and his wife Avril, daughter Peggy Tunney, and her husband Patrick, and her adored grandchildren Kenny and Jesse Riegel and Heather and Kyle Tunney. Joan also held a special bond with her identical twin sister, Jean, who preceded her in death at the age of 71 whose passing left an immeasurable void in her heart. The connection she shared with her family was one of her greatest treasures, and she gave them her love freely and unselfishly throughout her life.

A celebration of Joan's beautiful life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Entombment will be held at the Ewing Church Cemetery 101 Scotch Road Ewing, NJ 08628. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and again on Friday morning from 10:00am to 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the Woodside Presbyterian Church 1667 Edgewood Road Yardley, PA 19067.
