Kathleen Bennett Obituary

Kathleen M. Bennett of Yardley passed away on February 9, 2017, at ManorCare Hospice in Yardley. She was the beloved wife of William K. Bennett of Yardley, and mother of Kenneth Bennett (Nora Ann) of Winston-Salem, NC, and A. James Bennett of Coopersburg, PA, and grandmother of Megan Bennett of Winston-Salem. In addition to her immediate family, Kathleen is survived by a sister, Jean Seiler (Albert), of Ambler, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Kathleen, known to her close friends as Cookie, was born in Trenton, NJ, and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Trenton, and Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ. She was a beloved teacher in New Jersey and Pennsylvania public and private schools, inspiring many satisfied students. A voracious reader, Kathleen's greatest pleasure was curling up with a good book, and eventually, her Nook. Friends may call from 10am to 11:30am Tuesday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, where services will begin at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a contribution to the National Parkinson Foundation, or a charity of their choice.
