George Bontcue
George Bontcue, 72, passed away suddenly on July 9, 2022, at St. Mary Medical Center.
He was the beloved husband of Laura Bontcue, father of Danielle Baran and father-in-law of Thomas Baran. He is also survived by his granddaughter, the Apple of his eye, Miranda Claire Baran.
Born December 15, 1949, in Philadelphia, George was the son of George and Frances Bontcue. He was a graduate of Philadelphia University and earned his MBA from Drexel University.
George worked for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, where he served as the Associate Executive Director of Fiscal Affairs for over four decades.
George was a devoted family man and enjoyed every moment he could spend with them. He was a lifelong fan of The Rolling Stones and the Philadelphia Eagles.
A service of remembrance will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday July 13, 2022, at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Montefiore Cemetery in Jenkintown, PA. The service can be livestreamed via Zoom:
