Clifford F. Saxby Obituary

Clifford F. Saxby, 82, of Yardley, passed away on June 10, 2023.




Born in Bisbee, AZ, Cliff has been a lifelong Morrisville and Yardley resident. He was a graduate of Morrisville High School, Class of 1959. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps., where he served abroad, and excelled in marksmanship. Cliff went on to marry the love of his life, Ruth Harris, and together they had an incredible love story and had many adventures together. Cliff retired from Coca Cola after many years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and excelled in competitive archery, having won many awards. He could usually be found with a rifle over his shoulder and enjoyed hunting, fishing on the bay, and trips to the shore.




Husband of the late Ruth (Harris) Saxby, he is also pre-deceased by many loving family members.




He is survived by his loving brother Peter A. Barton and his wife Linda of Strong, ME, sister-in-law Ann Rusnack and her husband Jack of Yardley, brother-in-law Jim Harris and his wife Doris of Yardley, brother-in-law Charles Harris and his wife Francine of Yardley, sister-in-law Mary Cheesman of Morrisville, brother-in-law Joe Harris and his wife Shirl of Morrisville, and many nieces and nephews.




The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 7:00pm at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Ave. Yardley, PA 19067. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Interment with military honors in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
