Harry was predeceased by his sons Harry C. Kirchner and Gerard R. Kirchner, as well as his siblings – Bernadine Kirchner Burg, Joseph A. Kirchner, and Paul W. Kirchner.
Harry was one of the very last surviving members of the "Greatest Generation" – many, like Harry, were still just teenagers sent off to war on ships with their futures uncertain. Harry was always modest about his WWII service, but his discharge papers from U.S. Third Army in 1942-1943 reflect his participation in the Italian, Normandy, Ardennes, and Rheinland campaigns. A native of NY, Harry was an avid Yankees fan who loved family gatherings, a good joke, a
great cup of coffee and a sweet treat… or two!
