Leah Ann Tierney Obituary

Leah Ann Tierney, age 77, of Warminster PA, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025.

Born in St Paul, MN, Leah graduated from The College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, MN with an elementary education degree and Moorhead State College in Moorhead, MN with a Masters degree in Special Education/Learning Disabilities.

Leah dedicated her life to teaching children of all ages within the special education programs in Hawley and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and Jamestown and Bismarck, North Dakota. Retiring after more than 35 years of teaching, she and her husband Patrick moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to their son and family. They retired to the Arrowhead Lake Community in the Poconos in 2007 and eventually to the Bucks County area in 2016. Leah had many years of memorable summers and holidays in the Poconos with her 3 grandkids, enjoying the outdoors, the lakes and community pools, and joining in the many Arrowhead family activities, with the grandkids always insisting on taking a ride over in the red or blue golf cart.

Leah loved exercise and being active. Every day she could be seen walking, golfing, biking, or doing water aerobics, but her favorite was dancing in the family room with headphones listening to music. She was an avid baker, a devoted CCD teacher, and loved traveling and spending a few months each year in their favorite resort in Mexico.

Leah was the daughter of the late Allen and Rosetta Lindberg and the sister of Kathryn (Katy) and Mary Lindberg Beal.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Patrick Joseph Tierney of Warminster, PA, her son James Allen Tierney, his wife Neena, and 3 grandchildren, Emma, Andrew, and Elliott of Yardley, PA, her brother-in-law Michael Tierney, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
