I’m just learning of John’s loss. He will be missed. I worked with John for many years at Furman Selz. He sure did love his family. We had many talks because we rode the train to NYC and he had a good sense of humor. I’m sorry for your loss! Dolores Barrett

I will aways miss seeing John and their wonderful black lab on their morning walks through Palmer Farm. John was one of the first to welcome me to my new home here. In his big blusterly manner , he drove up to the end of my drive and loudly called out -“ Are you Sue Vitella?” He had met my late husband and I think Mariann must have told him of my impending move here. It was a warm and welcoming greeting on a very disruptive day. His was a life well lived and he will be missed and well remembered.

John Flahive was a devoted husband and father who quietly carried out his responsibilities. His countless displays of service to family, community and his chuch were always evident and wholeheartedly offered. We extend our sincere condolences to Marianne, whom we have cherished as a friend since our high school years, May he rest in peace.
