Obituary of Kevyn D. Malloy
Kevyn DePuy Malloy, an extraordinary individual known for her wisdom, compassion, and dedication to helping others, died peacefully on March 16, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born on April 28,1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Kevyn spent her life inspired by the belief in the potential of every individual, a guiding principle that drove both her personal and professional pursuits. Residing in Newtown, Pennsylvania, at the time of her passing, Kevyn's life was a rich tapestry of achievement, influence, and love.
Her academic journey began with her high school degree from Northfield School in MA. Next a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Moravian College in 1965. Demonstrating an adventurous spirit and entrepreneurial mindset, Kevyn embarked on her first business venture by running a seafood restaurant alongside her first husband, James Malloy on Long Beach Island, New Jersey - a testament to her versatility and tenacity.
With a hunger for learning and personal development, Kevyn later pursued another degree, a BA in Psychology from Stockton College, and advanced her studies with a Masters and PhD in Psychology from Temple University. Her passion for understanding human behavior and her drive to support others in their personal and professional goals led her to a successful career in individual therapy and executive coaching.
Her co-founding of Evergreen Seminars stands as a crowning achievement of her career, providing strategic planning and leadership development seminars for non-profit organizations' boards and leaders. At Penn State University, she was honored to mentor MBA students and executives, fostering their growth and enhancing their leadership capabilities. Kevyn further extended her influence by teaching foundational courses to aspiring coaches through MentorCoach.
Kevyn was celebrated not only for her professional accomplishments but also for her vibrant personality and generous spirit. Her sharp wit and infectious enthusiasm brought joy to those around her, and she was always keen to encourage others to live fully and authentically. An exceptional cook and writer, her talents enriched the lives of family and friends, who fondly remember her gentle kindness and radiant smile.
At both Pennswood Village and her church, UUCWC, she served on many committees throughout the years. It gave her pleasure to help other people and also found it rewarding to be part of these communities and doing her part.
Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Helen (Kelly) DePuy, her sister, Nancy DePuy, and her husband, Anthony Panzetta, with whom she was married for 37 years. Kevyn is survived by her brother, Jeff DePuy. Her children, Scot Malloy, Todd Malloy, Kelly Lessard (Joe), her step-sons Chris Panzetta (Kathryn), and Joe Panzetta (Ronley Blau), continue to carry forward her legacy of compassion and insight. She is also survived by grandchildren Ryan Lessard, Colin and Maddy Malloy, Madison Powell, Vincent and Marina Panzetta and Yarden and Naomi Blausapp.
A memorial service in memory of Kevyn's life will take place on Saturday, June 7th, at 2:00 pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church at Washington Crossing in Titusville, New Jersey.
