Obituary of Sandra Lockhart

Sandra "Sandy" Lee Lockhart, 83, of Yardley, PA passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. Sandy was born in Somers Point, NJ on August 18, 1941 and grew up in West Philadelphia. She attended the Academy of Notre Dame High School in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia, and Manor Junior College, in Jenkintown, PA where she received her associate degree. She worked throughout the years as a medical secretary, legal secretary and EEG Technician at many hospitals throughout the area. After retirement, she volunteered at the Yardley-Makefield Library. Sandy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Breckley) Metzradt. She is survived by her children Charles Sweeney, III (Patricia) of Yardley, PA, Christian Sweeney(Alicia) of Philadelphia, PA, Alissandra Adair(Martin) of Yardley, PA, her grandchildren Jacqueline, Timothy, Sean, Matthew, Christian, Caitlin, Justin, Andrew, Chelsea and Kiersten. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Sweeney, Jr., and her second husband Charles Lockhart. Sandy was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed spending many good times with her family and life-long friends. She also enjoyed baking, reading, crossword puzzles and watching her grandchildren play sports. A visitation will be held from 9:00AM to 10:15AM, on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, PA 19067 followed by a funeral mass at 10:30AM.
