Daniel F. McGovern of Yardley, PA, died suddenly on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional at the age of 67 surrounded by his loving family.

Dan was born and raised in Croydon, PA. Considered a pioneer and mentor in the luxury floor covering industry, he was the New York Regional Vice President at Stanton Design. Dan enjoyed many successes at work, but most important to him was spending time with his family making memories including family vacations to the lake, beach, Florida, international trips, and spending wonderful holidays together. A devout Catholic, he was a long-time member of Saint Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church in Yardley, acting as the athletic director for eight years, and coached basketball, baseball, and soccer for his children.

Although Dan had many titles, his favorite was "Bubba" to his grandchildren. On the weekends, Dan could always be found on the sidelines of his grandchildren's soccer, baseball, flag football, basketball, gymnastics, and Ultimate Frisbee games cheering them on.

Dan was the high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 46 years to Carolyn M. McGovern. He was the loving father of April Kotwicki (Michael), Daniel McGovern (Megan), Nicholas McGovern (Renee), Erin Arkin (James), and Angela Chapman (Patrick). He was the devoted grandfather of Justin, Grace, Luke, Jonathan, Claire, Riley, Hayden, Colette, Jimmy, Leo, Beau, and new baby soon to come. He will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and his sister, Peggy Hayes.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11:30am at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church 999 Reading Avenue Yardley, PA, 19067. Calling hours for family and friends will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am at the church. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery 291 Durham Road Newtown, PA 18940.

Mass cards would be appreciated, or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Holy Ghost Preparatory School (2429 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, PA 19020), and Villa Joseph Marie High School (1180 Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966).
