Obituary of Sandra A. Seibert

Please share a memory of Sandra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sandra A. Seibert Sandra Elaine (Ackermann) Seibert of Lower Makefield Township, PA, died on Friday, October 27, 2023. She was 78. Born in Middletown, CT, daughter of the late Joseph and Babe (Zanni) Ackermann, she was formerly of Deep River, CT, Langhorne, PA, and has resided in Lower Makefield for the past 17 years. A graduate of Valley Regional High School, Class of 1963, she was involved in many extracurricular activities, was senior class Secretary, and a member of the National Honor Society. She married the love of her life, John, on May 9, 1964. She worked for Selas Corporation for many years as the assistant to the President/CEO until his retirement in 2000, then as a legal secretary in Langhorne until her retirement in 2007. Sandi was always on the move. She was an accomplished gardener, always proud of her beautiful flower gardens. When not in the garden, she was in the kitchen, baking something special for her family. She loved to paint, sculpt, knit, and sew. In her later years, she took up the piano. She wasn't always happy with her ability, but hearing her play always made her husband very happy. After retirement, she and her husband traveled a bit, but Sandi looked forward to visiting Hawk's Nest Beach each year to catch up with family and friends. She loved being a grandmother and was most proud of her grandsons, Jack, and Mark. She spent many hours at the baseball fields watching them play. Every year, they would bake Christmas cookies together – a wonderful tradition. She is survived by her son, Glenn T. Seibert, and his wife Theresa of Yardley, PA, two grandsons, John T. (Jack) Seibert, III, his fiancé, Aubrey Kamppila, of West Hartford, CT, and Mark P. Seibert of Yardley, PA; a sister, Jo Adele Ressler, and her husband, Tom, of Olathe, KS; a brother, John Ackermann, and his wife, Nan, of Vero Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and her sister, Nathalie (Pinky) Heft of Killingworth, CT. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, good friends, and her beloved cat, Bella. The family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Artis Senior Living of Yardley and Humanitas Health Service for their love, support, and patience. Her funeral service will be Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:30am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue, Yardley, PA. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held from 9:00am until the time of service. Burial will follow at 11:30am at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, where she will join her husband for eternity. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in her name be made to Tunnels to Towers (t2t.org) or EndAlz (endalz.org). Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com.
