Obituary of Albert H. McClain

Albert "Al" H. McClain passed away peacefully at Juniper Village at Bucks County in Bensalem, PA on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 at the age of 93. Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the first son of the late Rose Mary McClain Tracey. Al's first career included farming in Central, NJ and Southeastern, PA. He then enlisted in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was an aircraft mechanic in the 96th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron. In the US Air Force, SSgt McClain received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Commendation Ribbon. Al worked for EMR Photoelectric (Schlumberger Co. at retirement) in Princeton Junction, NJ as a photoelectric tube manufacturing technician, retiring after working there for forty one years. Al was a member of the American Legion in Fallsington, PA and the Grand Marshal of the 2013 Falls Township Memorial Day Parade in Levittown, PA. He received multiple bowling and ballroom dancing trophies and was a member of the 300 club. He was also a talented dance instructor at Fred Astaire Dance Studios in NJ. Al was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ann McClain, sister Caroline Tracey, brothers Ellis Tracey and Richard Tracey, and his mother, Rose Mary McClain Tracey. He is survived by his son Gerald McClain(Miranda), his daughter Patricia Leibrecht(Harry), and his brother Robert Tracey. He was also survived by his six grandchildren, Harry IV, Finnian, Jack, Henry, Benjamin, and Charlotte. Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2023, from 9:30a.m. to 11:00a.m. at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue, Yardley, PA. 19067. Interment in St. Ignatius Cemetery for family and friends will be held immediately after calling hours.
