Janice Curtin Janice Curtin, 70, of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Wednesday March 20, 2024 at her residence. Born in Trenton, NJ, a daughter of the late George Polensky and Dorothy Polensky Glenn, she was a lifelong Yardley-Makefield resident. After graduating from Rider University, Janice received her Masters' degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University. She began a career with the State of New Jersey Treasury in the Division of Pensions. Janice's work merited advancement, and she retired to spend time with family as the Division's Assistant Director in 2006. Janice was actively involved in the Lower Makefield community, serving on the Executive Committee for the Veterans' Memorial. Along with her beloved late husband, she enjoyed family activities, traveling and summers on the New Jersey Shore. She was a longtime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Newtown, PA. Janice was the wife of the late Honorable William F. Curtin. She is survived by two sons, Matthew Curtin of Yardley, PA, and Adam and Colleen Curtin of Newtown, PA; her sister, Sharon Glenn of Simpsonville, SC, and her brother and sister-in-law, Donald Polensky and Flavia Polensky-Geist of Morgan Hill, CA. Her five grandchildren, Will, Piper, Molly, Cora, and Connor Curtin brought her the greatest joy. Family and friends are invited to call from 5pm to 7pm Thursday April 4, 2024 at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue, Yardley, PA. A brief memorial service will immediately follow. Interment at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor's choice.
