Roger J. Van Sant of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Saturday September 23, 2017 at Capital Health Medical Center-Hopewell. He was 83. Born in Trenton, NJ, a son of the late Leon B. and Louise Mifflin Van Sant, he was an area resident for the past 57 years. Roger was a retired Independent Insurance adjuster. In retirement, he was a volunteer at the Walt Disney Elementary School in Levittown assisting with reading programs. A lifelong member of the Trinity Cathedral in Trenton, Roger sang in many groups over the years; these included the Trinity Cathedral Choir, the Mercer County Chorus, the Philadelphia Singers, the Royal-Aires Quartet and the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church Choir. He is survived by his wife, Fay Manicke; his daughter, Jennifer A. Bradley and her partner, Michael Glancey of Howell, NJ; sister-in-law, Dorothy Van Sant, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Leon Van Sant and Leroy Van Sant. His funeral services will be at 11am Wednesday at Trinity Cathedral, 801 W. State Street, Trenton, NJ, where friends may call from 9am. Burial will follow at Newtown Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Contributions in Roger's memory may be made to the Absalom Jones Inspirational Choir at Trinity Cathedral.
