Gertrude Waraksy Obituary

Gertrude M. Waraksy of Yardley, PA died Tuesday November 15, 2016 at Attleboro Nursing Center in Langhorne, PA. Born in Trenton, NJ, one of eleven children of the late Daniel and Margaret Teehan Pyle, she resided in Yardley for the past 22 years. Gertrude retired after 32 years as a telephone operator with New Jersey Bell. In retirement she was active with Volunteers of America for 18 years, and a member of St. Ignatius Church in Yardley. Wife of the late Chester J. Waraksy for 43 years, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruth A. and Joseph Michael Kelly of Washington Crossing, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 111 S. Independence Mall East, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
