Ann Swan Obituary

Ann M. Swan of Sunrise of Lower Makefield, PA died on Sunday October 8, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. She was 96. Born in Trenton, NJ, daughter of the late Charles G. and Anna Palisay Janos, she resided in Bordentown, NJ for 56 years before moving to Lower Makefield six years ago. Ann was a devoted homemaker and, for many years, a diligent volunteer with the American Red Cross and the Walton Army Hospital at Fort Dix. She enjoyed a full life traveling the world, having also lived in Illinois, Alabama, as well as in Austria and Japan. Wife of the late Lt. Col. George F. Swan, who died in 2011, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward M. and Carolyn Swan of Lower Makefield Twp., PA; her daughter and son-in-law, Janis A. and John J. Sopko of Hamilton Square, NJ; two grandsons, Edward M. "Ted" Swan, II and his wife, Denise, and Jeffrey Sopko and his wife, Kelly; two great grandsons, Nathan E. Swan, and Shane J. Swan; a great granddaughter, Rachel Sopko, and a niece and two nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am Friday at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 10am. Interment will at Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown, NJ. Donations in her honor may be made to: Folds Of Honor Foundation (provide\ing scholarships to the children and spouses of our fallen and disabled service members killed or injured while serving our nation.)
