Frank Castor Weed passed away on Wednesday, October 18, at the age of 89. Frank was born in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia to Ellis Vaughan Weed, Sr. and Myra Castor Weed. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Henry Weed. Frank is survived by his wife, Willina McCarty Weed (Billie), who he married in 1950, and had a wonderful fun filled 67 years of marriage. His brother, Ellis Vaughan Weed, Jr. of Newtown, Pa. Frank is also survived by his children Susan Hillman of Washington Crossing, Pa., Bruce Weed and his wife, Kimberly Yardley Weed of Washington Crossing, Pa., Cynthia Weed of Yardley, Pa., Barbara Weed and her husband Daniel Giuffre of Yardley, Pa. Frank was also the proud grandfather of Kory Hillman, Kyle Hillman, Jared Weed and Cully Giuffre, and the great grandfather of Tyler. Frank is also survived by his niece Donna Weed Harrison and nephews David and Scott Weed. Frank and Billie spent many wonderful years traveling to their home in the Poconos, sailing and skiing. They enjoyed their annual travels with friends to Colorado skiing, and golfing in South Carolina and Florida. Frank and Billie spent their life together living in Levittown, Yardley, Washington Crossing and currently at Ann's Choice in Warminster, Pa. Frank was a graduate of Frankford High School and attended Lycoming College and graduated from LaSalle University. For many years, Frank was a partner in Bucks Agency Insurance Co., and later Century Agency Insurance Co. In the 1960s, Frank joined his Father and brothers as a partner in Weed Chevrolet Co. in Bristol, Pa. Frank was a successful, honest and caring agent and businessman. Frank enjoyed following High School and College sports. Frank was a big fan and supporter of Neshaminy Football and was inducted into the Neshaminy Hall of Fame in 1998 for his involvement Neshaminy "N" Club. A celebration of Frank's life will be held on Sunday, October 22, from 4:00-7:00 pm and Monday morning, October 23, 10:00-11am at FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA. Services at 11:30am at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church,1680 Aquetong Road, New Hope, PA. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Ann's Choice Scholarship Fund, ? Philanthropy 20000 Ann's Choice Way, Warminster, Pa. 18974, or to your local S.P.C.A. Frank's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Rose Garden at Ann's Choice for the excellent care and service they provided for Frank during his stay.
