Sara J. Puca of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Monday January 1, 2018 at Oaks of Bensalem. She was 88.
Born in Lower Makefield and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Joseph D'Aversa and Jennie Logelfo D'Aversa.
Sara was a Bell Telephone operator in Langhorne, PA for many years. She had been an active member of the American Legion Knowles Doyle Post 317, Yardley.
She was the wife of the late Anthony Puca, mother of the late Kathleen Ann Paxia, and sister of the late Russell, Vincent, and Samuel D'Aversa, and Mary Shennard. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Holly Puca; six grandchildren, Kenneth, Anthony, Tim and Nicole Puca, and Trisha and John Paxia, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including her very close niece, Cheryl Ann Pecht.
Funeral services will be at 10:30am Thursday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 9:30am. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
