Sorry for you loss. I spoke with George from time to time and he was a very nice man. I'll never forget what he told me on why he retired early, "I felt like giving someone else a chance to join the workforce". The whole family sends our condolences and prayers.

I played basketball with George from the late 80s until he disappeared into retirement.
George was a great man who had a lot of funny idiosyncrasies. He was the “commissioner” of our basketball group and kept us all in line. Amazing memories of the fun we had shooting hoops.
Life is not measured by length but by quality.
George had that quality.
Condolences to the family - may your memories help to lessen your pain and thoughts of George bring joy in the future.

We met George when he and Cindy lived on our street in Piscataway. After they moved we remained friends getting together with other neighbors every few months. George was a great friend, smart, humorous and always ready to discuss politics and world events! Our thoughts and prayers to Cindy, Dylan, Rylee, Heidi and both families. May you find strength and peace in the days ahead.

My association and friendship with George was through our work at Bell Labs/Telcordia Technogies. George had the lead responsibilites for project management for a large software project (200 people at its peak) that was under development and then moved to maintenance. A major part of his activities was negotiating with the Baby Bell customers on realistic features of the system. His detailed knowledge of the system, the work operations that needed to be accomplished and, of the utmost importance, his charm and good relationships with the customers was key to the success of the project as a whole. At the same time he was a great colleague. At work he was certainly the person who went straight to the heart of the matter with impeccable logic while at the same time keeping the rest of life in perspective. He is a great loss to all who knew him.
