Obituary of Richard J. Moorcroft

Richard J. Moorcroft of Lower Makefield Township, PA died Thursday December 1, 2016 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was 67. Born in Trenton, NJ and formerly of Ewing Township, NJ, he resided in Lower Makefield for the past 27 years. Richard was a retired Pressman from Dow Jones-Wall Street Journal in Plainsboro, NJ. He was graduated from Ewing High School, was a member of St. Ignatius Church, and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Son of the late Thomas J. and Helen R. Greeley Moorcroft and brother of the late Gerald Moorcroft, he is survived by his wife, Thayer Hornbeck Moorcroft; his daughter, Katie Moorcroft of Allentown, PA; a brother, Thomas Moorcroft of The Villages, FL, and a sister, Marie Perkins of Montville, NJ. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am on Saturday December 10th at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 9am. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Newtown, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
