Frank Richard Erni, Jr. of Lower Makefield Township, PA entered into eternal rest on Sunday June 3, 2018 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA. He was 76.
Born in Trenton, NJ, son of the late Frank and Jean (Roba) Erni, formerly of Washington Crossing, PA, he resided in Lower Makefield for the past 30 years.
A graduate of Council Rock High School and Rider College, Richard was the proprietor of Erni's Hearing Aid Center in Lawrenceville, NJ, a business founded by his father in 1946. He served in the US Army National Guard.
He greatly enjoyed tennis throughout his life. His greatest joy was his time spent with his family, his pets and gardening.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberly (Michael) Campaignio of Lower Makefield, and Jennifer Erni of Ardmore, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey (Susan) Erni of Kennett Square, PA; his sister and brother-in-law, Patty (Tom) Richey of Upper Makefield, PA; his ex-wife and good friend, Mary Jean Treon; four grandsons; several nephews, great nieces and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Tuesday, June 12th at 2:00 pm at The Ewing Cemetery, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing, NJ. A celebration of life reception will follow. Flowers may be sent to FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral home by 12 noon on Tuesday.
