Carolyn W. Holmstrom
Carolyn W. Holmstrom of Ann's Choice in Warminster, PA died on Saturday September 1, 2018 at her home. She was 95.
Born in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Clarence Weant and Minnetta Brauer Weant, she resided in Falls Township for over 50 years, moving to Ann's Choice 9 years ago. She was a graduate of Eastern High School in Baltimore.
Carolyn worked for the Pennsbury School District as a secretary for many years with postings at the Pennswood and Charles Boehm schools.
She enjoyed baking and playing bridge. Carolyn was active in volunteering throughout her life starting with the USO and Red Cross during WW II. She also helped at the Beehive Gift Shop at St. Mary's Hospital, Langhorne, PA and, after moving to Ann's Choice, the Treasure Chest Gift Shop there.
Wife of the late Ernest R. Holmstrom, she is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Ernest R. and Bernice Holmstrom, Jr., Gary and Lisa Holmstrom, and David and Doreen Holmstrom; her brother, Ellsworth Weant, and four grandchildren, Gregory Holmstrom, Jessica (Matthew) Weygand, Diane (Dean) Chapman, and Michael (Sara) Holmstrom.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm, at the Fitzgerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Ave., Yardley, PA 19067. A funeral service will follow at 4pm. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
