On January 8, 2019, Denise Hiel went home to heaven while maintaining her positivity throughout a courageous battle with ALS. Wife to Peter Hiel, Denise is survived by her son Brian, daughter Amanda and husband Ian along with her two beloved grandchildren Kealey and Logan, eight siblings, and her mother Mary Ellen. She was preceded in death by her father, William, in 2009. Denise's many creative talents included cake decorating, calligraphy and various needle craft projects that she loved sharing with her family. An avid game player, she was a frequent caller and contest winner of 92.5 XTU. She also enjoyed volunteering with the CCD preparatory program at her church. Friends and family are welcome to gather at Saint Ignatius Church in Yardley, PA on Friday January 11th beginning with a viewing at 10am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her name to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the ALS Foundation. Arrangements are under the care of FitzGerald Sommer Funeral Home 17 S.
