Obituary of Laura J Bennett

Laura Jane Bennett passed away on Friday March 1, 2019 at Statesman Health and Rehab in Levittown, PA. She was 82. Born in Yardley, PA, she was a life long Yardley- Lower Makefield resident until moving nine years ago. Laura worked with enthusiasm and effectiveness at administrative posts in the insurance industry. She was a life long and devoted member of the Yardley United Methodist Church. Laura relished many family activities, including card games, in which she participated with great skill and gusto. As a resident of Statesman she made many friends as well as enjoyed the various activities they offered. She was also a member of their resident council. Butterflies were her favorite animal and she enjoyed all things butterflies. Laura was the daughter of the late Matthew S. and Laura White Bennett. The last of her generation, she was the sister of the late J. Donald, Stanley, Arthur, Agnes Ludwig, Martha Hellyer and Virenna Bennett. She is survived by several nieces and nephews , and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11am Thursday at the Yardley United Methodist Church, 300 Langhorne Pike, Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 10am. Burial will be at Newtown Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
