Obituary of Deborah F. Schumacher

Deborah F. Schumacher of Washington Crossing, PA died Sunday January 1, 2017 at her home. She was 79. Born in Brookline, MA, and formerly of Douglaston, NY, she has resided in Washington Crossing for the past 42 years. Deborah graduated from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA. Prior to retiring, she was the business manager and chief administrator of the Washington Crossing Animal Hospital and proprietor of Tail Waggers, a popular animal boutique. She enjoyed playing tennis, bicycling, gardening, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family. She was a member and supporter of the Newtown Presbyterian Church. Daughter of the late Joseph P. and Evelyn Parkhurst Folsom, and sister of the late Daniel Folsom, she is survived by her husband, Dr. William E. Schumacher; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey P. and Therese Schumacher of Doylestown, PA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Randall Cohen of New Hope, PA, and Christen and Fran Mastrangelo of Woodlands, TX; a brother, Christopher Folsom of Buckingham, PA, and 8 grandchildren.
