Sue was one of the kindest, sweetest, funniest people I have ever met. She was an excellent educator who helped, cared for and nurtured many students during her career. I was lucky enough to know her during those years of her life and proud to have her as a colleague and a friend. I loved sharing books, laughs, dinners and great discussions with her. When she found love with Jim, my heart burst with joy for them both. Rest In Peace my dear friend, and hold a spot in heaven’s book group for me!

Jim and family,
I have no idea HOW you are coping with another wife passing. You must be one of the strongest persons I know. I do not know if you are practicing your faith, but I bet you are.
"May God give you a peace bc of the wonderful memories you and Sue(Suzanne) shared. A-men+"
She must have enjoyed your sense of humor after I saw, and thought it was real, how you 'limped' to the dance floor at our 45th reunion when I dedicated the song, "May I Have This Dance for the Rest of My Life," to the both of you for your 'newish' marriage.
Before I knew the truth there was Jack, Alan C., and Dobie laughing up a storm. I thought how nasty of them. Sue, of course, went right along with your 'act'.
Being married to her must have been a real joy(and sometimes hilarious) as she went along with your 'jokes'!!!!!
I feel for you, but have NO IDea how you are feeling except LOST. Your family and friends and reading the condolences/cards will help you through the weeks, I am sure.
"God Bless You and May His Angels surround You with His Peace. A-men+"
Sincere Love, Care, and Kindnesses, and, of course, Prayers,
Barb Phillips Mayers

It was with great sadness I read about Suzanne in the paper today. She was a patient of mine at Dr. Detolla’s for over 20 years. I was her dental hygienist and I saw her every 3 months. I remembered how excited she was to live out her dream of living in the city! I believe it was suppose to be a year and it turned into 5! She loved her trips with her friends and sisters. She loved her family... she loved life and truly learned how to enjoy it! It was an honor to have known her and her beautiful smile! When she left the practice she sent me the most sweetest email and I will treasure it always. My condolences to the entire family during this very sad time. ❤️Susan Alesi

Jim, after my Lauren passed 11 years ago my son and I received comfort in the recounting of how she positively affected peoples' lives, something she said, did, or impressed them by her selflessness even through her struggles. We still hear others' memories after all this time.
May you be comforted in your memories and in peoples' kind words and thoughts about Suzanne.
Eternal rest grant unto Suzanne, O Lord, and may your perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in Peace. Amen

We were so very sorry to hear the devastating news about Suzanne. Jim, you’ve through it all with her, and I can only imagine how difficult a time it was for you as well as Suzanne. She was such a wonderful woman, inspiring in her compassion & understanding of others & her positivity in her zest for life. She fought a very tough battle, & I know she’s finally at peace. I hope you too can find some peace as time passes.

Sue will be greatly missed. She had a big heart and a kind, compassionate, welcoming personality. As a Smithtown Central School District former colleague, I remember the glowing reputation Suzanne had. She was an excellent teacher and counselor. We loved seeing her at the RAY clubhouse from time to time. I would reminisce with her about our careers in Smithtown, NY. We'll never forget the night we met after moving into the Regency at Yardley. We had not seen each other for many years and did not know that we both decided to retire in Yardley. What a coincidence!
Suzanne,
"...we will remember you best when we let our hands touch hands, and our souls touch souls. When we share our goodness and multiply our acts of kindness. Your friends and family will love you most by letting you live in their eyes and not just in their minds."
