Bridget M. Callanan Bridget M. Callanan of Doylestown, PA formerly of Falls Township, PA died on Monday December 7, 2020 at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, PA. She was 94. Born in Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Maryann Mugan Tonra. Bridget came to America in 1949 as a young adult and began a full life here. While a loyal daughter of Ireland, she dearly loved her adopted county. She married the late Thomas M. Callanan, her husband of sixty-six years, and assisted him in his business of creating luminous stained-glass windows, Oxford-Stained Glass. Bridget was all in in raising her family of three children and sharing with them her love of Ireland. She was blessed with a good sense of humor, devoted to her faith, and, with her sociable, outgoing nature, a candid friend and neighbor. Her greatest joy was to gather friends and family around the kitchen table for tea and Irish soda bread while Thomas entertained on the button accordion. Wife of the late Thomas M. Callanan and mother of the late Timothy Callanan, she is survived by two daughters, Maureen (John) Grove, and Denise (Stephen) Callanan-Kine: daughter-in-law, Teresa (John) Callanan-Melton; grandchildren, John (Christina) Grove, Richard Grove, Timothy (Marta) Callanan, Meghan (Andrew) Callanan Hess, and Matthew Kline (Elizabeth Martin), and great grandchildren, Zoe Grove, David Callanan, Aleksandra Callanan, and Madeline Grove. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30am Friday December 11, 2020 at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA, where friends may call from 8:30am. A private family burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Due to Covid concerns, the luncheon and Bridget's life celebration will be postponed to a later date.
