Obituary of Marian E. Babick

Marian Babick, 86, of Yardley passed away on December 13, 2020. Marian was born and raised in the Lawndale section of Northeast Philadelphia and graduated from Saint Basil Academy. Marian met her future husband Mike while working for the Pennsylvania Railroad and moved to Yardley in 1968 with Mike and their two young children, Susan and Michael. Marian was a dutiful, attentive, and well-organized homemaker, skills passed on to her by her own mother Marion. With her children grown, Marian later went on to work at New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company in Ewing, NJ. Marian was a voracious reader, routinely reading three to four books at a time. Upon her retirement, Marian and her husband Mike traveled extensively around the world with their friends Jack and Patricia, a lifelong friend from Saint Basil's. Their annual travel adventures ranged from hiking glaciers in Alaska to cuddling koalas in Australia. Marian become a dog lover later in life as a result of her countless hours spent dog sitting for her grand dogs. In addition to her children, Marian is survived by her niece Joanne and grand dog Harvey. She is predeceased by her sister Clare and husband Mike who passed away in October of this year. Services will be held in private.
