Douglas G. Phinney

Douglas G. Phinney of Maple Shade, NJ died on Sunday July 25, 2021 at the VA Community Living Center in Philadelphia, PA. He was 73.

Born in Lakewood,Ohio, a son of the late Edgar and Anne Featherly Phinney, he has resided in Maple Shade for the past 40 years.

Doug joined the Army in January 1968. He began overseas service in Vietnam in June of that year. Doug saw action soon after his arrival and he was awarded both the Combat Infantry Badge and a Purple Heart. After his Army service, Doug became an antiques dealer and enjoyed travelling throughout the country in his RV. He was a sociable and generous family member and friend.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and MM Phinney; his sister and brother-in-law, Christine and Peter Schwartz; seven nieces and nephews, Michael, Meghan, Mary Anne, Courtney, Jean, Jane, and Anne, and six grand nieces and nephews.
