Obituary of Nancy M. Barron
Nancy M. Barron
Nancy M. Barron of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Sunday, August 8, 2021 surrounded by her children and her husband at Vitas Hospice in Philadelphia, PA. She was 75.
Born in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Francis and Florence Mansfield McManus, formerly of Philadelphia and Bensalem, PA, she has resided in Lower Makefield for the past seven years.
A graduate of Little Flower High School in Philadelphia, Nancy worked as a purchasing specialist in the electronics industry and, more recently, for the past twenty years, as the bookkeeper for her son Dan’s business, X-Cel Landscaping in Bensalem. She brought a positivity to everything and was loved by her family and her many friends. “Grandmom” as she was called by her grandchildren could light up a room with her eyes and her smile. Nancy had that special touch, she was one of a kind.
She was the wife of the late Daniel Barron and mother of the late Kevin Barron.
Nancy is survived by her husband, James H. Gaston, III; two sons, Daniel Barron of Bensalem, PA, and Gregory Barron and his wife, Tina, of Philadelphia; a daughter and son-in-law, Marybeth and John Downey of Gambrills, MD; her brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Margo McManus of Wrightstown, PA; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and Peter Hughes of Holland, PA, and Eileen and Bill Rowell of Sewell, NJ, and five grandchildren, Acacia and Devin Barron, and Max, Maeve and Jack Downey.
Her funeral service will be at 11am Saturday at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church, 771 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA, where friends may call from 9:30am to 10:45am. Interment will be private.
In lieu flowers, Greater Delaware Valley Chapter National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 30 S. 17th Street # 800, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
