Amy Featherer Obituary
Amy M. Featherer, 66, of Cape May, New Jersey died peacefully on March 19, 2017 after a lengthy illness at a hospice facility in Philadelphia, PA. She formerly lived for many years in Yardley, PA.
Amy was the daughter of the late Frank and Louise Featherer of Pennsville, NJ. A graduate of Pennsville High School, Class of 1968, she also had an undergraduate degree from West Virginia Wesleyan and a master's degree in education from Glassboro State (Rowan University). After teaching in Carney's Point and Pennsville for ten years, Amy began her own business, Perfect Move, Inc.
Among Amy's many interests were living near the beach, traveling and cooking.
She recently completed a "bucket list" trip with her husband to South Africa for 40 days and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Simons, of Cape May, NJ; a son, Sean Simons, of Arlington, VA; a sister, Lisa Featherer, of Wilmette, IL; a brother and sister in law, 2 nephews and a niece. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25th at 11:00am ET at the Yardley Methodist Church, 300 Yardley Langhorne Rd, Yardley, PA 19067. Visitation will begin at 10:00am ET.
