Gloria D. Levitt
Gloria D. Levitt, 77, of Yardley, PA died on Thursday February 3, 2022 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the late Harold and Geraldine Fischer Press, she has resided in Yardley for the past 45 years.
Gloria was a graduate of Neshaminy High School and West Chester University where she also received a Masters Degree. She spent many years as an elementary school teacher in the Pennsbury School District, where she was well-liked and admired by her students and colleagues. Others were drawn to her kind, pleasant nature, and through her many volunteer and philanthropic endeavors she developeda wide circle of friends. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and will be dearly missed.
Wife of the late Bruce Levitt, she is survived by her son, Jay Levitt; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beryl and Bruce Madden, and Kathleen and Dale Wismer; a niece, Emily Marshall; two nephews, Evan Maddenand Shane Madden, and great nephew, Sidney Madden.
A service at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will be planned for a time this Spring. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in Gloria’s honor to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
