December 6, 1934 – August 17, 2022
Mary Ann (Bahelka) Tigar, age 87, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Juniper Village Independent Senior Living in Bensalem, PA
Born in Passaic, NJ to the late Joseph and Frances Bahelka, Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of Yardley and a graduate of Pennsbury High School.
A devout Catholic, she was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Church where she lead prayer groups and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Mary Ann loved working with children and was employed for many years as a teacher's aide with the Pennsbury School system. Many fond memories where made during family gatherings and vacations in The Poconos and Long Beach Island.
Known for her kindness and compassion, she frequently spent time visiting and caring for family and friends in need.
Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband, Philip N Tigar, and her son, Bruce P Tigar. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Dan Zanetti of Mexico, NY and Mary Chris and Glenn Marrazzo of Langhorne, PA. She was especially loved by her two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Andrew Thompson of Bristol, PA and Gail and Frank Pesce of Morrisville, PA, She will be sadly missed by her nine grandchildren Dawn Moschberger (Brian), Michael Ronaldo, Austin Smith (Linda), Dan Zanetti (Heather), Philip Tigar, Elizabeth Chaney, Brittany Ferarro (Jason), Lianna Ford (Heath), and Patrick Marrazzo, seventeen great-grandchildren, Zachary, Lauren, Leah, Maisie, Natalie, Austin, Lucy, Edward, Benjamin, Aiden, Liam, Haley, Audrey, Grace, Nora, Henry and Dexter, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11:00am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Ave. Yardley, PA 19067. A calling hour will be held from 10:00am until 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery, River Rd., Yardley.
