Charles S. Harris, II

 

Charles S. Harris, II, 56, of Lower Makefield Township, PA passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at his home.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he has been a lifelong Lower Makefield resident.

Chuck was a graduate of Pennsbury High School. After graduation, he began a career as a skilled heavy equipment operator and a proud member of the International Operating Engineers Local 542 (IUOE). Chuck was mechanically gifted and could fix just about anything with his hands. His main hobbies were farming, hunting, fishing, and visiting Potter County. He was an active member of the American Legion, VFW, and APA where he enjoyed socializing with his fellow members.

Chuck, who came from a large family, was a devoted father to his three daughters. His fun loving demeanor and quirky sense of humor made him a wonderful person to be around. He cared very deeply for his family and he will be truly missed by all. 

He is survived by his three daughters, Amanda, Amber and Alayna Harris, his wife, Michele Cain, all of Levittown, PA; his father, Charles S. Harris, and his wife, Francine Ellison Harris of Lower Makefield; his mother, Linda Weaver Gerhart, two sisters, Gail Wiley and Sheila Harris, (husband Ron Harrison), all of Albrightsville, PA, and his step siblings, Francine, Chrissy, Lisa, Don Mike and C.J.

Funeral services will be at 11am Monday December 5, 2022 at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA, where friends may call from 9am until time of service. Burial will follow at the Newtown Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
