Andrew M. Swider
Our Lord called Andrew M. Swider home on Saturday October 29, 2016 while peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Andrew and Regina Ott Swider, he had resided in Yardley, PA for the past 35 years and enjoyed his summers in Sea Isle City, NJ.
Andrew was a retired Stock Specialist and First Vice President with Morgan Stanley at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was a member of V.F.W. 6393, Yardley, American Legion Knowles Doyle Post 317, Yardley. He was involved in the development of the Vietnam Veterans Monument in Philadelphia and instrumental in the creation of Veterans Square Monument in Lower Makefield.
He is survived by his wife Margaret "Margo" Swider; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marnie and James Mollica of Yardley, PA, and Andrea and Len Nucero of Washington Crossing, PA; and his four grandchildren Drew and Nick Mollica and Christian and Lauren Nucero. He is also survived by his brother, John Swider; sisters, Gloria Skowronski, Suzanne O'Connell, and Donna Cavalieri.
On Friday, November 4th, friends and relatives are invited to pay their respects between 11am-12pm at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA followed immediately by his Celebration of Life Mass. Internment will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do something nice for someone in honor of Andrew.
