Obituary of Patricia A. Blair

Patricia A. Blair (formerly Patricia Walter), 64, of Yardley, PA passed away on February 14, 2023. Born in Allentown, PA, Patricia grew up in Yardley and has resided in Bucks County for most of her life. Patricia was an excellent student and attended Pennsbury schools and Fairfield University of Connecticut. She was highly successful in her career as a Systems Engineer at Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ. In her early years, Patricia enjoyed sailing with her father, mother, and sister on the family boat. She would often be found riding her bicycle along the river into Main Street of historic Yardley or dancing to her favorite music in the family living room with their beloved dog, Tammie. In her adult years, Patricia became a proud mother to her daughter, Amanda. She very much enjoyed being a mother and worked hard to care for her family and the family dogs, Sophie, Lucy, and Bella. She would often be found cooking for her family, rooting for her favorite sports teams, appreciating live music and concerts, and walking along the beach. She loved being near the ocean and enjoyed living in Ocean County near Point Pleasant Beach for a few years. In her later years, Patricia shared a home with her beloved mother, Darl. She loved to spend time with her mother, especially when they watched music award shows and sports games together. Patricia was an avid animal lover. She was thoughtful and funny. She went out of her way to make others laugh and to make them happy. Her generosity to her family and friends knew no limitations, and she loved them unconditionally. Daughter of the late Bernard Walter, she is survived by her mother Darl B. Walter, her daughter Amanda L. McCarthy, her sister Kathie Eash and brother-in-law Robert Eash. Patricia also leaves behind a nephew, two nieces, and grand-nephew, and a grand-niece. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 12:00pm, at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue, Yardley, PA 19067. Friends are invited to call from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 for those that would like to attend.
