Dear Dansbury Family,
I was one of Joan's many golfing buddies at Northampton Valley Country Club. She and Alice Harrington kept the statistics and figured the winners each week for many years. At our annual outing to Penn National she set up the competition for each day and figured the winners. I have many happy memories of those days on the links with Joan. My condolences to you all. Aunt Joan was always so kind to and accepting of this family southern transplant. She gave me recipes, advice on plants, and golf tips. She was always fun—making room for one more, especially on the S.C. Golf trips. Aunt Joan, you have always been “my” Aunt Joan, not just Joe’s. Love, Sandy Bennett

Aunt Joan has always held a very special place in my heart. Growing up across the street allowed me to have many fond memories with Aunt Joan. From family events & picnics to support and encouragement through college Among all those memories is golfing. The many Dansbury Opens and best of all was the Myrtle Beach golf trips. There I not only enjoyed golf, but I had a whole week of family fun with Joan & Muggy. I learned to play dominos, enjoyed wonderful home cooked meals and sharing time with Aunt Joan

Dear Dansbury family, Even though I did not play golf with Joan. She was a dear friend. We had many wonderful vacations to Myrtle Beach for our husbands to play golf. We would start our happy hour long before the guys would get home from golf. They could hear us down the hall laughing and reminiscening. Great vacations. She was a wonderful friend. My condolences to the family. Love Lucille Brantl
