Obituary of Walter W. O'Connor
Walter Wilding O’Connor, 74, of Levittown, passed away on May 15, 2023, after an extended illness. Wally was born in Rockville Center, NY, and had been a long time resident of Newtown, PA. Wally was very active in the community, always very willing to share his experience, strength, and hope with others. His kindness and enthusiasm was only surpassed by his humor, love of gardening, and a passion for sports. Wally had a natural warmth that drew many people to him, friendships that lasted a lifetime, all through his life!
Wally grew up in Glen Rock, NJ and attended Bergen Catholic High School. He went on to attend and graduate from Villanova University. He enjoyed a long and rewarding career in the Plastics Industry. Wally was an avid Bergen Catholic, Villanova, and New York Yankees fan!
Son of the late Walter and Helen O’Connor, he is survived by his sisters Jeannine O’Connor Dineen and Maureen O’Connor Vanderbeck, as well as his adoring nephew, (Robert Dineen III), and nieces Kerri Dineen Price, Dorothy Vanderbeck Saxon, and Megan Dineen Jordan.
A funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at 10:00am at St. Andrews Catholic Church 81 Swamp Road Newtown, PA 18940.
