Robert Cyril Goodwin, Jr.

Robert Cyril Goodwin, Jr., 72, of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Tuesday July 25, 2023, at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, a son of the late Robert Cyril Goodwin and Margaret Brown Goodwin, he has resided in Lower Makefield for the past 38 years.

A graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School, Bob attended Temple University and transferred to the University of California, Irvine from which he graduated. After serving in the Marine Corps, he began a career in the field of logistics forming his own company, Cargo Express Exports of Yardley, PA. Bob mastered the elements needed for the efficient transportation and routing of goods that make  the supply chain effective. He was an active member and supporter of Holy Trinity Church.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nancy Austin Goodwin; a son, Robert Cyril Goodwin, III; two daughters, Megan Goodwin and her husband John Bowker, and Erin Goodwin and fiancé Dave Carlin; step-son, Derrick Schlitter; step-daughter, Maggie Powley and her husband Adan Powley; a brother, Daniel Goodwin; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janis and Bob Pennington, and Lisa and Ronald Neugold; three grandchildren, Adelaide, William and Declan Powley, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews. Bob was blessed with a wide and cherished circle of friends in his life.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Monday July 31, 2023, at Holy Trinity Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 4pm to 7pm Sunday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA.
