Charles R. Ancher, 89, of Yardley, passed away on August 16, 2023.
Born in Camden, NJ, he has been a Yardley resident for the past 42 years. He was employed by RCA in Camden, and most recently retired from Princeton University as a member of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Mary Theresa (Cacosky) Ancher of Yardley, his adopted daughter Mary Stanford of Trenton, NJ, and his beloved dog Miss Abigail Starr.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 28, 2023, at 10:00am at St. Ignatius Church 999 Reading Ave. Yardley, PA 19067. Interment of cremains will be held at 11:30am at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S.
