Joseph Kermit Boyce "Joe", passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, with family by his side at Brookdale Memory Care in Niceville Florida.
Born in Keyser, West Virginia on January 24, 1936, he was the son of Clyde and Pearl Boyce. He spent his entire career with the same company, West Virginia Pulp and Paper in Luke, Maryland, and eventually rising to become a national sales manager, finally settling in Yardley Pennsylvania in 1970. He was an active member of Woodside Presbyterian Church, and enjoyed golf at the Yardley country club. Joe moved to Florida to be near his daughter after losing the love of his life, Virginia, to cancer in early 2017.
Joe is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Kathryn (Paul) Doran, JoAnn (Jeffrey) Rocque; four grandchildren Peter (Lara) Doran, John (Jill) Doran, Alexander (Emily) Rocque, and Stacey (Anthony) Rocque; three great grandchildren, Nellie Doran, Finn Doran and Jude Rocque. In addition, he is survived by his brother Terry (Ellen) Boyce. Joe was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Helen Virginia (Hardegan) Boyce, and his brother and his wife, Paul and Melissa Boyce.
After a private family service, Joe will be laid to rest beside his wife, Virginia, at Newtown cemetery, Newtown, Pennsylvania. Memorial Contributions in Joe's name can be made to the Woodside Presbyterian Church 1667 Edgewood Rd. Yardley, PA 19067. Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S.
