Obituary of Mary G. Griggs
Mary Geraldine “Gerry” (Bentz) Griggs, 93, of Langhorne, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. Mother of James Earl (Beth), David Eugene (Amelia), and Charles Eldon (dec.), and Wife of Donald E. Griggs (dec.), and Grandmother of Brandon, Natalie and Nicholas; wife of Leon Armour (dec.), Sisters: Ruth Ann Zupan and Roberta Neubauer (dec.). Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A retired 1st grade teacher, Mary “Gerry” taught elementary school for 30 years. She was also active in the church, attending bible study groups, and played an integral part in organizing and starting a preschool at Woodside Presbyterian Church, where she also served as an Elder and Deacon. She also served on the Preschool Board for 7 years. She touched many lives and was loved by all who met her.
The Funeral Service will take place at 10am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Woodside Presbyterian Church, 1667 Edgewood Rd, Yardley, PA 19067. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9am to 10am at church. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery, 3850 Richlieu Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
