Theresa Mary Coyne (née Gentile), born in Philadelphia, June 5, 1920, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2023, at Greenwood House Senior Healthcare Facility in Ewing , N.J. surrounded by her loving family, friends, and admirers. Theresa was predeceased by her beloved spouse, Joseph Edward Coyne, parents Nunziato and Concetta Gentile and brothers, Anthony, Ralph, and Joe Gentile; sisters Mary Gaeto and Rose Stouffer. Theresa is survived by her loving children, son, Joseph Richard Coyne (Gloria), her daughter, Theresa Judith Lopopolo (Vincent ); grandchildren Nora Theresa Lopopolo, Vincent Joseph Lopopolo(Erin) ; great grandson, Vincent Riley Lopopolo, and her nieces , nephews and many friends on both coasts. Theresa was an incredible woman who lived a remarkable 103 years. Born the 5th child (of 8 children) to Italian immigrants, she grew up in Philly in some of the best and worst of times. She learned to dance in the Roaring 20s and never stopped dancing. She worked in a variety of interesting jobs throughout her lifetime where she made many lifelong friends. She loved spending the summers in Townsends Inlet, N.J. with family and enjoyed traveling, especially to Italy and the West Coast. Theresa was curious, resilient, a lifelong learner and a woman of strong faith. She was renowned for her zest for life. However, it was her immeasurable generosity and kindness towards family, friends, and strangers alike that earned her the love and devotion of every person she met. With her husband, Theresa provided a warm, loving home for her family and delighted in her children's achievements. She was a strong role model for her children, grandchildren and great grandchild and was their best cheerleader. Family was everything to her. If you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you were truly blessed. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 10:00am at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 999 Reading Ave, Yardley, PA 19067.
